Kaizen Holdings Sdn Bhd (835765-K) was founded in August 1996 in Ipoh.

The company launched its maiden project Taman Bukit Emas that year, initially under the umbrella of the Kinta Properties Group and later absorbing it into the Kaizen stable in 2008.

Taman Bukit Emas is a 32-acre project along the Alor Gajah-Melaka-Jasin (AMJ) Expressway, sitting only 10km from Cheng and a mere 20 minute drive from Melaka Central. The project comprises 6 commercial shop offices and 337 units of detached, semi-detached and terrace houses.

A second project in Taman Cheng Setia comprising 24 units of Double Storey Semi-detached houses and 36 units of Double Storey Terrace houses is launched in January 2012.

A third project in Taman Lesung Batu Emas, Alor Gajah comprising over 400 units of shops, bungalows and terrace houses. 1 consists of 25 units 1 storey shop office launched in March 2017 and 82 units 1 storey bungalow launched recently in September 2017.

Back home in Ipoh, Kaizen introduced itself with the launch of Somerset at Thompson (Impiana Flora) in 2009, an exclusive gated and guarded community project comprising 18 exclusive semi-detached homes. Somerset at Thompson sits in the premier residential Precinct area of Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (Tiger Lane).

In February 2011, Kaizen launched Dorset Place, a project undertaken in partnership with well-established individuals in Ipoh. Phase One of Dorset Place sees the construction of 40 units of double storey 20’x70’ shop offices along the main trunk road between Jalan Gopeng and Jalan Pasir Puteh near SMJK Shen Chai.

Phase 2 of Dorset Place comprising 34 units of Double Storey Terrace houses and 34 units of Double Storey Semi-detached houses was launched in December 2011 within a well-planned gated and guarded community. The balance 76 units of residential homes was launched in January 2013.

In July 2014, Kaizen launched Taman Golfview, a high end luxury residential development comprising 14 units of 3 storey semi - detached houses. The project was completed and fully delivered in June 2016.

Desa Chemor Saujana is our fifth project in Ipoh, launched in 2015, comprising 21 unit 2 storey shops facing Jalan Jelapang – Chemor main road, scheduled for delivery in December 2017.

Our latest project is GreenPark, comprising 276 units of double storey semi-D cluster houses within a guarded community conveniently located between Bandar Botani and Station 18. The development comes complete with security, entrance guard house and landscaped playground. Phase 1 comprises 76 units was recently launched in August 2017 with brisk takeup.

Collectively, Kaizen’s current projects in hand reflect a Gross Development Value (GDV) of more than RM 276 million.

Kaizen is led by Dr Tan Chin Yong, who brings with him an impressive and commendable track record in the property sector. Dr. Tan holds a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University UK and BSc (Hons First Class) in Computer Sciences from University of Edinburgh UK.

As chief executive officer of the Kinta Properties Group from 2000 to 2008, Dr Tan worked hand-in-hand with the owner (his father-in-law), the late Dato’ K K Lim, and led the Kinta Properties Group to become one of Ipoh’s largest property developers with the successful development of several large scale projects including Bandar Baru Sri Klebang, Meru Valley Resort, Halaman Meru Impian, Sri Iskandar Technology Park, and the Tambun Business Park.

Dr Tan played a pivotal role in the introduction of market leading concepts, designs and management ideas to the group, culminating in the winning of the coveted “CNBC Asia Pacific Property Awards” under the “Best Golf Development Malaysia” category for the Meru Valley Resort development in 2008.

Kaizen won the SME100 Award for Top 100 Fastest Growing SME Company Malaysia for 2012 and Dr. Tan also won the Asia Pacific Enterprise Award 2014 for Most Promising Entrepreneurship.

Also driving Kaizen is General Manager Mr. David Tan Suan Hoong, who brings with him more than 20 years of experience in property development, project management and implementation into the Kaizen Group. Mr. David Tan was formerly the Project Manager of Kinta Properties Group, in charge of Meru Valley Resort Property Development from 2000- 2009. From 2010 to 2012, Mr David Tan attached with Golden State Properties Sdn Bhd in charge of hotel and shops development including Casa Bintang Condominium and Symphony Suites Hotel.

Kaizen has an exclusive sales and marketing partnership with PWP Properties Sdn Bhd for all the Kaizens’ projects. PWPN Properties is headed by Ms Stephanie Heng, formerly the sales and marketing manager of the Kinta Properties Group.

Ms Ann Yap, a UK certified quantity surveyor, heads the sales and project administration department; while Mr Lim Thye Kok manages the group’s projects in Melaka, backed by more than 20 years experience with Gombak Land Sdn Bhd prior to joining Kaizen.

Kaizen forges ahead into the property market with strong support from shareholders/partners such as Chin Pek Soo Holdings Sdn Bhd, Choong Nam Father and Sons Sdn Bhd and Mr. Lam Sang (Director of Spritzer), Real Estate Agency PWP Properties Sdn Bhd, major players in the banking fraternity such as Public Bank, Maybank and Pac Lease Bhd among others, as well as a panel of well-established senior lawyers including Kean Chye & Sivalingam, Maxwell Kennion, Goh & Partners and Abu Zahar & Partners.
